The Turkish Süper Lig is the top-tier professional football league in Turkey, and 18 teams will feature in the new season, where the teams play home and away matches. Each club plays 34 matches, and the team with the most points at the end of the season wins the title. Four teams were relegated last time, but the bottom three would face relegation to the TFF First League this term. European spots are up for grabs with the title winner securing an automatic Champions League qualification, while the second team enters the qualifying phase. The third place isn’t left out and will participate in the Europa League.
History Of The Turkish Top Football Division
The Super Lig was founded in 1959 as the Milli Lig, and it’s the premier football competition in Turkey. The competition has always been dominated by Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Beşiktaş, with the former winning the highest titles in the division. Hakan Sukur holds the record for most goals in the Turkish Super League, while Umut Bulut and Oguz Cetin are the only players with at least 500 Super Lig appearances. There are many fierce derbies in the country, but the Intercontinental Derby between Galatasaray and Fernebache is the biggest.

Trabzonspor won the league in the 2021/22 season, and they’re tagged at 34.00 (33/1) to repeat that feat. The team led by Faith Tekke finished seventh in the Super Lig after a poor season finale. The Black Eagles aren’t a popular pick on the 25-26 Super Lig predictions, but they make the top five. Trabzonspor has won the league seven times, and they have some exciting players who can cause an upset.

Basaksehir are in the top five on the soccer bookmakers with season odds, but they have very high value to win at 151.00 (150/1). Cagdas Atan led his team to a fifth-place finish last season, but they don’t have a squad big enough to fight for the title throughout the season. Basaksehir has won the Super Lig just once in their entire history, with their lone victory in the 2019/2020 season. With the big teams fully stacked, they have a very slim chance.
