Solisbet entered the market in 2023 with a sportsbook and casino platform. Its parent company, Apolonia N.V., has a substantial presence in the gambling business, operating several other betting and casino sites, including Booty.bet, Trap Casino, and GalaxyBet. All these platforms are crypto-focused.

Unfortunately, the information about Apolonia N.V. is scarce. It doesn’t make its financial data, principles, or holding structure publicly available. The company is registered in Curacao, and its head office is located in the capital, Willemstad.

Offshore Jurisdictions

Solisbet operates under the Curacao gambling license, which is favored by offshore bookies. The process of obtaining the license is simple, and it provides access to most international betting markets. The sportsbook displays the change of odds in real time. The new odds are represented with a flashing effect and a green arrow if they increase or a red arrow if they decrease. It takes less than a second between the bet click and confirmation. There is no option to see historical odds or tools to compare odds with those provided by other bookies.

The lowest margin of 5% is reserved for the English Premier League, MLB, and AFL, while the bookie takes the highest margin on the Scottish Premiership and Indian Premier League at 9%.

The bookmaker doesn’t publicly explain the calculation of margins or the way cash out prices are derived.

Payment Options

Solisbet payment options center on cryptocurrencies. The list of supported crypto coins includes Bitcoin, Cardano, Dogecoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Users can also use credit cards, vouchers, and e-wallets. The general rule is that users can’t deposit or withdraw less than €5 or equivalent in another currency. The currency is selected during the registration process and can’t be changed later. 

Funding your account with crypto is instant, and there are no fees associated with this type of payment. However, you need to meet the minimum deposit threshold in order for the payment to be registered. Failing to do so will result in loss of funds. These minimums are displayed when a particular crypto token is selected. All crypto options can also be used for withdrawals. 

Skrill and Neteller are supported as e-wallet options and work for deposits and withdrawals. Credit/debit cards, PaysafeCard, and prepaid vouchers can only be used for deposits. You’ll also be able to wager on cup competitions and friendlies, but these markets are usually reserved for football. The lower divisions and women’s leagues could use better representations. Flagship matches usually have between 400 and 500 markets available. You’ll get the usual moneyline, spread, and over/under markets but also a variety of others. For football, punters can bet on half-time results, corners, cards, and player stats and place various special wagers, like whether one team will have a clean sheet. There is also an opportunity to bet on the result and the number of corners and cards in the first 10 minutes of the match. 

Esports is one of the big strengths of Solisbet with the bookie having a dedicated section for these video game competitions and tournaments. It offers betting on 12 Esports titles, including Counter-Strike, LoL, Dota 2, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rocket League, FIFA, and NBA2K. 

Solisbet doesn’t support Same Game Parlays (SPG). Users can only create single wagers, multi-bets that combine different events, and Round Robin bets.

The number of markets depends on the sport and the significance of the game. For football, it ranges from 20 markets for friendlies and lower-tier events to hundreds for high-profile matches. Micro-interval bets like next point or next corner are not available. The bookie also doesn’t provide custom alerts, but you’ll be notified when the odds change for a market that you’ve already added to your bet slip.

The pages sometimes take longer to load, while the navigation can be frustrating. When you select a particular sport, you only get shown a handful of events and need to click on the “VIEW ALL” button to see the entire offer. You also need to use the menu on the left each time you want to switch between sports. This comes with a lot of scrolling because the menu returns to the top with each click. The bet slip section is far from convenient since it only shows three selections when creating a combo wager.

The website does have a search option. It isn’t predictive, but it works well and is surprisingly fast. There are several other helpful features, including an option to create a list of favorite leagues and competitions, a Top Tournaments section that groups all the high-profile events, and a Schedule where you can check out all the matches for the day. 

The bookie also has a Blog section that should feature soccer predictions and interesting news. Currently, there is no such content available.

Solisbet mobile web app is fast and looks great. The shortcuts on the bottom of the screen allow users to quickly access the menu, live chat, and bet slip. But it is far from user-friendly. You need to close the menu manually each time you open it. Even if you click on a particular sport, it will open in the background while the menu covers it.
