Understanding The 2025 BLAST Open Fall Finals

The event is structured as a two-stage tournament, beginning with online qualifiers and concluding with the LAN finals. In Stage 1 (Online Playoffs), 16 invited teams were split into two GSL-style double-elimination groups of eight.

All matches were conducted in a best-of-three (Bo3) format, with the top three teams from each group advancing directly to the LAN finals. This brings the total number of participants in Stage 2 to six. The LAN Finals follow a single-elimination format. Team Vitality and FURIA Esports, having secured first place in the online phase’s upper bracket, advanced directly to the semifinals. FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, MOUZ, and M80 began their campaigns in the quarterfinals.

Both the quarterfinals and semifinals are played in a best-of-three format. The Grand Final will follow a best-of-five structure. The total prize pool stands at $400,000, with $70,000 allocated to the online stage and the remaining $330,000 set aside for the finals.

Team Vitality @ 2.70 (5/3)

Team Vitality began 2025 in outstanding form, capturing eight titles in the first half of the year, including the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the ESL Grand Slam at IEM Melbourne. Their dominance eased slightly in the latter months, with several top-four finishes, yet they still earned a direct semi-final berth at this tournament. Hard-fought wins over GamerLegion and FaZe in the online stage highlighted their resilience. Vitality’s depth and competitive ability make them a strong contender to claim this. If they do succeed, it would be their first trophy since June.

MOUZ @ 2.90 (17/9)

MOUZ has enjoyed a steady year, highlighted by victory at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and several runner-up finishes. Their latest strong showing came at IEM Cologne, where only Team Spirit stopped them in the final. A playoff spot at BLAST Open Fall 2025 was secured after the team overcame G2. Both maps ended 13-10, though the scoreline understated MOUZ’s control. On Ancient, they dominated early, nearly posting a flawless 12-0 half before G2’s Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa’s Desert Eagle heroics. Performances of this calibre underscore their strength, making MOUZ a genuine contender to capture the title come Sunday, 7.

FURIA Esports @ 4.00 (3/1)

FURIA Esports has yet to win any competitive CS2 title this year but has delivered several commendable results, including top-four finishes at IEM Katowice and PGL Astana. Their recent surge in form was evident during the online qualifiers. During that stage, they secured a direct semifinal berth with wins over Team Spirit and MOUZ. Their 2-0 victory against MOUZ (Inferno 13-7, Mirage 16-14) marked their first win over the team in 2025. Recent additions “YEKINDAR” and “molodoy” have strengthened their roster and are pivotal to this resurgence. FURIA are energized for this tournament and are in a strong position to clinch the title.

G2 Esports @ 5.80 (19/4)

G2 Esports has experienced a turbulent year, with its best result being a finalist run at PGL Bucharest. Much of their inconsistency can be attributed to roster changes, most notably the departures of “NiKo” and “m0NESY” to Team Falcons. Their path through the online qualifiers was difficult, but they showed determination. After a 2-0 victory over Liquid, they suffered a 0-2 loss to MOUZ, then responded with a clean 2-0 win against FlyQuest. A closely contested 2-1 triumph over Team Spirit secured their place in the playoffs. That comeback against Spirit highlighted their resilience and positioned G2 as serious contenders for the title.

FaZe @ 6.30 (16/3)

FaZe Clan has had a mixed campaign in 2025, combining deep runs with early exits. The roster underwent notable shifts, with “ropz” departing for Vitality and “EliGE” joining in January. In a dramatic twist, “EliGE” was benched in August for “jcobbb” ahead of the BLAST Open. In the group play qualifiers, FaZe secured a finals spot by sweeping NAVI 2-0 in a spirited “revenge” match. A narrow 2-1 loss to Vitality followed, placing them in the London quarter-finals. Success will hinge on sustaining that momentum, while confidence and cohesion remain central to their title aspirations.

Our first CS2 predictions for BLAST London Finals 2025 back Team Vitality to be crowned champion of this event. Their recent form has dipped, but their year began with eight titles and an incredible 30-match winning streak. Central to their success are clutch performances of Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and the January addition of Robin “ropz” Kool. Vitality secured a direct semi-final berth at BLAST Open London 2025 after edging FaZe 2-1 in a dramatic qualifier. Both opening maps went to overtime before Vitality prevailed. Victories under such pressure highlight their resilience and signal a return to their usual best, which could boost their winning chances in this tournament.

Both teams have been underwhelming this year, with their peak achievement being Second and third at PGL Bucharest 2025 in April. Yet, G2’s qualifier run showed signs of progress. Their decisive 2-1 victory against Team Spirit in the Group B lower bracket final was no fluke. That performance should boost their confidence ahead of this clash. Spirit took Mirage 13-11, but G2 answered on Dust2 (16-13) before dominating Ancient (13-1). Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko starred with 56 kills and an 82 ADR, and he should be decisive in this matchup. FaZe are not a completely weak team, but we believe G2 has the psychological edge. So we are backing them to get the win. G2 has odds of 1.81 (4/5) to win this clash.

Most betting predictions for CS2 2025 BLAST London back MOUZ to secure a convincing 2:0 win over M80. However, given M80’s recent form, the momentum appears to be shifting in their favor. In this tournament, MOUZ has recorded just one 2-0 victory against G2. Their other matches include a 2-1 win over Imperial and a 2-0 defeat to FURIA. In contrast, M80 has picked up two wins so far, securing a 2-1 result in their opener and following it up with a 2-0 victory over Fnatic. Based on the current performances of both teams, it’s reasonable to expect M80 to take at least one map in this matchup.
