⭐ List of the Best Betting Sites for Canadian Football League
CFL betting is not too hard to grasp. That said, it’s also not overly straightforward either. Having a hard time finding the best CFL bookies? There’s a chance you are not sure what to look for. Try these tips:
Flashy odds on an unfamiliar site? That’s a big red flag 🚩! Play it safe, and don’t give in to temptation. Never trust a bookmaker without a reliable track record.
Be patient and shop around for the juiciest odds. Your regular bookmaker will not always give you the best betting opportunity for a certain competition. Compare odds online – you might just find a new best friend with better payout potential.
Betting is meant to be an adventure, so spice it up a bit! Break free from the cycle of mundane outright winners and explore more exciting betting markets, like handicaps, player specials, etc.
The bookmaker’s site must adapt perfectly across all platforms. A giant desktop monitor, or your pocket-sized phone screen of a CFL betting app; the experience should be the same. Accessibility is super important.
Even the best CFL betting sites might go through technical issues at times. For this reason, you must pick a bookie that has customer service ready to respond to your distress calls 24/7.

Mobile betting is also an integral part of the online sports betting industry. Out of all the online betting options, mobile betting is loved worldwide because of how versatile and easily accessible it is. So, here are the best Canadian Football League bookmakers for mobile betting are given as follows.
August 27, 2021, was a historic day for sports bettors in Canada. It marked the day Bill C-218 came into effect, allowing single-event wagering. Prior to this, locals could only engage in parlays, which was very restricting, and this led to massive illegal gambling. To put this in perspective, the Canadian Gaming Association estimated that in 2020, about $14 billion was spent on betting in the country, and only around 3% was legal.
Out of the 10 provinces, Ontario quickly became a frontrunner. It became fully regulated by April 2022, less than a year after the bill was passed. The province allows private companies to apply for licenses to operate parallel to the government-run Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The newly regulated market and those staggering figures encouraged international and domestic bookmakers to establish a presence in the country. This triggers a massive growth for the industry, and according to Statista, Canada is projected to earn C$2.24 billion in revenue in 2025 alone. This is set to increase by 4.88% by 2029.
A study by the Angus Reid Institute shows that two out of five Canadians will watch the Grey Cup. While not as popular as the NFL, interest in the Canadian Football League continues to grow, thanks to the increase in access to CFL sports betting sites.
Among the many alternatives, Stake has carved a niche as a privacy-focused, crypto-friendly sportsbook. It allows anonymity and offers consistently competitive odds on CFL games.
Meanwhile, bet365 has high-quality live streaming, wide market coverage, and in-depth betting options tailored specifically for Canadian football.

🇺🇸 The Best CFL Bookmakers in the US
The US sports market is one of the largest in the world. In just under 7 years, the industry is projected to generate more than $52.77 billion, making it the largest globally. Since each state is allowed to work out its regulations, many have embraced online or retail, and sometimes, like Arizona and Colorado, have both. According to a survey, about 22% of young adults in the US follow CFL. While this isn’t massive, its fan base has grown steadily.
Regarding operators making waves in the country, DraftKings comes to mind. The bookie has one of the widest state coverages, but that is not all. Punters also have access to low margins, a variety of betting options, and even a live streaming feature on selected matches.
William Hill is another huge name in the country. Its intuitive interface and great odds aside, it also offers plenty of promotions.

Betway is an all-around bookmaker known for covering over 35 sports markets, offering competitive odds with low margins, and providing a safe betting experience. Thanks to its organized layout, smooth performance, and ease of use, it’s especially ideal for CFL fans.
What sets Betway apart is its clean, user-friendly interface. The navigation is simple, whether you’re looking for CFL lines, in-play options, or promotions. The site is mobile-friendly and loads quickly across devices. For even more flexibility, there’s a dedicated mobile app available for both iOS and Android, letting you wager on the go without any hassle.
New Canadian users can claim a welcome offer of up to $300 on their first deposit. Alternatively, if your first bet loses, you can get up to $200 back as a refund. The minimum deposit and withdrawal amount is just $10, making it ideal even for casual punters.
William Hill has some of the best bonuses for CFL fans. New users can claim up to $300 in bonus funds after wagering $20 on the CFL or any other available sports league. These promos change regularly, so there’s usually something new to claim, including event-specific offers.
Another key promotion is the William Hill Rewards Club. Every time you place a bet, you earn up to 5 points per dollar wagered. You can redeem 1,000 points for $1 in free bets, making it a consistent way to get value from regular activity.
Punters can deposit from $10, and you can withdraw from just $1. Payment options comprise debit/credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, online banking, eCheck by VIP Preferred, and PayNearMe. While deposits are instant, some banking methods charge a 3% fee per transaction. Besides its mobile-friendly site, you can also download the iOS or Android app.
DraftKings was founded in 2012. With over 100 tournaments, including CFL, the bookie has made a name for itself in the US and Canadian markets. While its broad coverage is impressive, what sets DraftKings apart for CFL fans is the app’s accessibility. Available on both the App Store and Google Play Store, the mobile app is intuitive, user-friendly, and requires no technical skills to navigate.
The DraftKings app is fully customizable. Punters can change the odds format, switch between light and dark modes, and personalize notifications to get real time updates on their preferred matches.
The mobile app offers a variety of betting features, including moneyline, totals, parlays, round robins, and even in-play. It also has a live streaming option, which makes following and betting on live CFL games even more convenient. Despite its many functionalities, the app doesn’t glitch.

Stake is one of the top CFL crypto betting sites for various reasons. The bookie started operations in 2017, and you can fund or withdraw from your account using cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, EOS, TRX, USDT, LTC, and so much more. All transactions are anonymous and nearly untraceable, which makes it perfect for those seeking privacy. When it comes to VIP rewards, FanDuel is the best among the top online Canadian Football League betting sites. In addition to regular promotions, the loyalty program offers cashback on losses, free bets, event tickets, a personal account manager, and boosted odds on selected CFL matches, which can significantly increase your payout on winnings. The program has about 10 levels, each providing unique perks, but access is only by invitation.

PokerStars Sports also provides more flexibility than the standard bookmakers. You can bet on a certain outcome of the game (back) or on something not happening (lay).
The platform shares liquidity with Betfair, so you can expect a large pool of users and markets. This is especially helpful when betting on CFL games, as you get a wide range of options and opponents.
The minimum deposit and withdrawal amount is $10, and supported payment methods include bank cards, bank transfer, Neteller, Skrill, and MuchBetter. Transactions are fast and secure.
Given the nature of exchange betting, PokerStars offers 24/7 support via live chat and email, ensuring you can get assistance at any time.

🎁 Offers & Bonuses
Just like all the sports bets out there, the CFL also has a lot of different betting offers and bonuses. One of the best betting offers you can get for is free bets. These are offered by many renowned betting sites as welcome bonuses after you make a deposit, for points scored by placing bets, and much more. With free bets, you won’t get back your stake, but you will surely get your winnings.
For example, if you win $20 on a free bet of $30, you will earn and be able to collect $20, which is your winnings from the bet. The vast majority of Canadian Football League bookies, including the sportsbooks I recommend, provide free bets, so make sure to check them out and save them for the upcoming CFL season.
Free bets usually range from $10 to $50 maximum. With these, you get offers like being able to treble the odds on your first bet.

I went through a lot of betting sites to choose the best for your betting. Here are the things that I considered important when choosing the sites for Canadian Football League online betting:
Security & Licensing. Having proper approval from reputed regulatory authorities is something that is mandatory for betting sites. This is because safety and security are non-negotiable when it comes to money, so we consider that highly.
Payment & Withdrawal Methods. A variety of payment and withdrawal methods including niche ones like e-wallets and cryptocurrencies is important to allow a wide range of CFL bettors to be able to play. For this reason, I prioritized betting sites with a good range of payment and withdrawal methods.
Design & Usability. A user-friendly website design and easy access to all features required for online betting are essential to attract a bettor’s attention. If a website is not usable easily, it is not a good experience.
Speed. Having a bookmaker be swift and efficient with their payments and withdrawal process is necessary because a 10-day wait time can be stressful.
Mobile Betting. Mobile betting is one of the more versatile and easy-to-access parts of online betting. So, if a bookmaker is not up-to-date with that, they were surely not considered for this list of the best CFL online bookmakers.
Features. If a website is clunky and not optimized with good features that make it easy to use, no customer will choose that betting site. So, bookmakers with unique features were chosen for this list.
Customer Support. Proper customer support is non-negotiable because we are dealing with money when betting online. Responsible gambling is necessary, so I made sure to choose betting sites that provide good customer support.
💡 How to Bet on CFL
Before we get completely into learning about CFL betting, you need to familiarize yourself with the league itself. If you don’t, you won’t have the best chance of making great bets. So, here is some information about this league.
Difference Between CFL and NFL
Talking about CFL and NFL — they are two completely different football leagues that are hosted by different countries. CFL is Canadian football, and the NFL is American football; it is the same sport but in completely different formats. So, here are the major differences between CFL and NFL.
Number of Players
In the CFL teams, there are 12 players. On the other hand, the NFL only has 11 players on each team.
Playing Field
In the CFL, the field is longer and wider than that of the NFL, standing at 110 yards by 65 yards. The NFL fields are only 100 yards by 53.3 yards.
Goalposts
Owing to the different field sizes, goalposts in the CFL are not in the back of the end zone like they are in the NFL. The CFL goalposts are instead positioned at the front of the end zone. Because of this, the distance of kickers where they can generally kick from is the same in both leagues.
Active Rosters
In CFL, their active rosters consist of 53 players at once. The NFL has an active roster of 44 players.
Season Structure
CFL fans get to see their favorite teams play 18 times in a season. On the other hand, NFL enthusiasts get to see their favorite teams play only 16 times in a season. Other than that, CFL matches are commonly held on Fridays and the weekends while NFL matches are held on Monday nights.
Scoring System
In both leagues, a field goal is considered to be worth three points. However, the difference is in the punt or missed field goal that is not returned out of the end zone, where the CFL one-point rule is applied, which awards the kicking team with one point. The kicking team is also awarded with a point if an attempted field goal on their part is shot out of the back of the end zone.
Timeouts
In the CFL, each team is only given one timeout. In the NFL, each team is given three timeouts.
Warnings
In the CFL, players are given three-minute long warnings while in the NFL, players are given two-minute long warnings.
Sudden Death
In the NFL, sudden death is used to determine which team is the winner if both teams are tied when the allocated time is over. If the teams are tied and the allocated time is over in the CFL, each team is given two possessions. Even after that, if they remain tied, the match is declared a tie. In the CFL, teams are also awarded a point for a drawn game, but there is no such rule in the NFL.
Number of Downs
In the CFL, a team has three downs to move the ball forward by 10 years. But, for the NFL, a team has four downs to move the ball forward by 10 years.
League Format
The Canadian Football League format is vastly different from the traditional football format that most of us are used to. In the CFL, there are nine teams who compete in the league, each coming from a different city in Canada. These nine teams are further divided into two divisions, with four teams in the East Division and five teams in the West Division.
As of writing this, the league features a 21-week-long regular season in which each team plays 18 matches within three weeks. The typical timing for the CFL season is from the middle of June to early November. The team to win in the CFL is the team with the most points scored in the end.
After the regular season ends, six teams later compete in the three-week playoffs. These three-week playoffs later culminate in the largest annual sports event to be held in Canada, the Grey Cup Championship, which is held in late November.

Most Popular Betting Markets
Here are the most popular betting markets.
Moneyline
The most popular market is the moneyline. This means betting on the direct outcome of the match, i.e., basically picking out the winning team. This is a viable betting strategy because you can check out the betting odds and take your pick for which team will win the game.
Point Spreads
Point spread betting market is the type of betting where you wager on the score differential between two teams in favor of a single team. As an example, if the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are playing against the B.C Lions, the spread there might be -5.5 Bombers, transforming the odds of the moneyline markets unattractive. That basically means the Bombers are favored by 5.5 points. Here, sports bettors can wager for the 5.5 points spread, meaning the Bombers win by six or more points. Or you can wager against it, meaning the Bombers will either lose or win by five or fewer points.
Total Points
Total points is a line type of betting that basically represents the total amount of combined points in the match between two teams. Here, bettors can bet the over meaning the teams will exceed the line or bettors can bet the under, meaning the teams will not exceed the line. This one doesn’t require picking a winner or score difference, which can be profitable in the expected high-scoring games.
Prop Betting
Prop bets are stakes that are placed on specific parts of the game regarding players and outcomes. These bets are placed on things that don’t dictate the final score of the match in CFL games. The team props bets include which team scores first, how many penalties a team will have, which team will score more in the third quarter, and more. Player props bets include which player will score the first touchdown, how many yards a player will throw for, etc.
Parlay Bets
When sports bettors combine several different bets into one bet, that is known as a parlay bet. Depending on how many bets are within a parlay, the odds multiply. So, in-game parlays, the more bets, the higher the payout and the greater the returns. However, keep in mind that all the bets in the parlay have to stick their landing in a single game, or you will turn up with zero profit.
