Rating Details

Below is how FanDuel performed in various aspects of its services.

Bonuses
4.8

FanDuel has a generous welcome bonus with clear terms and low wagering requirements. Its frequent profit boosts and refer-a-friend incentives provide ongoing leverage for existing bettors. However, the absence of a traditional, publicly tiered loyalty program for sports betting might be a drawback for some users, especially those who plan on using the operator long-term. Jump to details

Payment Options
4.8

It supports major banking methods, including PayPal, cards, Apple Pay, and bank transfers. Some states have restrictions, and not all methods are available everywhere. Deposits are fast, but withdrawals can vary depending on the option in use. Jump to details

Support
4.8

FanDuel offers customer support via live chat, email, and social media. While 24/7 availability is a strength, user feedback indicates response times can vary, with some reports of slow resolution or perceived unhelpful interactions, especially for complex issues. Jump to details

Betting Variety
4.8

FanDuel stands out for its betting variety, offering a wide range of sports, leagues, and markets. It covers major North American sports in detail and provides diverse bet types, including numerous player props, futures, and game-specific wagers. The innovative Same Game Parlay (SGP) and SGP+ features significantly improve betting options. However, it lacks depth in international sports and niche markets, especially Esports. Jump to details

Odds
4.7

FanDuel’s odds are generally competitive, especially for the NFL and NBA. Some markets have tighter margins than others but are still among the best. However, unlike some operators, FanDuel rarely provides odds boosts on events. Jump to details

Live Betting
4.7

The live betting experience on FanDuel is excellent. The odds are updated in real time, and there are also in-play stats. The platform offers a wide range of in-play markets, often with live streaming. For events without streaming, game trackers are available. While this section is a strong point for FanDuel, some users have reported occasional issues with in-play data accuracy or app stability during high-volume live events. Jump to details

Website
4.9

The FanDuel website has an intuitive, clutter-free design. Navigating it is also simple, with clear menus and a functional search bar. Pages load quickly, and odds refresh automatically. However, the site lacks personalization features like saving favorite teams. Jump to details

Mobile
4.9

FanDuel’s mobile app is highly regarded for its user-friendly interface and responsiveness. It provides a smooth betting experience, mirroring the desktop site’s functionality. The app supports secure login features like 2FA and biometrics. Despite its strong performance, some users occasionally report app crashes, particularly during peak events. Jump to details

FanDuel Compared to Other Market Leaders

  • FanDuel and DraftKings are both highly reputable operators. In terms of US coverage, DraftKings has a slightly broader reach in regulated states. However, DraftKings offers broader sports market coverage. It focuses not only on traditional sports but also on more niche sports, non-sporting events like the Academy Awards, and a larger variety of Esports titles, including Valorant and League of Legends. Both have invite-only VIP programs, but DraftKings’ Dynasty Rewards program is more generous. It has a wider range of tier rewards, such as exclusive customer offers, access to private events and game tickets, better referral bonuses, and travel packages.
  • BetMGM covers a similar number of traditional sports as FanDuel. However, BetMGM currently does not feature any Esports betting options. Despite this, BetMGM has greater international sports coverage, offering wagers from nearly 20 countries. BetMGM frequently provides odds boost tokens generally or to specific events. Comparing odds for the FIFA CWC between Chelsea and PSG, FanDuel had Home +410, Tie +320, and Away -170, while BetMGM showed Home +360, Tie +333, and Away -155. FanDuel offered better odds on the Home win, while BetMGM had slightly better odds on the Away win and Tie. BetMGM also offers more personalization options, like favoriting a sport or match. Unlike FanDuel’s invite-only VIP program, BetMGM’s reward system automatically enrolls users and allows them to earn in-app points from the start. These points lead to better rewards, including birthday gifts, unique promotions, and off-site perks like complimentary tickets to exclusive MGM concerts.
  • Caesars also covers a similar number of sports markets as FanDuel. However, a key difference lies in accessibility. While FanDuel provides dual accessibility via both its website and dedicated mobile apps, Caesars often limits full sports betting access to its mobile app, with the website primarily showing promotions. For bonuses, FanDuel’s typical offer is “bet $5, get $150 bonus bet.” Caesars often offers “bet $1, get 10 100% up to $25 profit boosts.” The better promotion depends on individual betting style; FanDuel’s is a simple bonus, while Caesars offers multiple profit boosts. Caesars also provides punters with an equal opportunity to become a VIP. Its tier rewards program is more extensive and offers better benefits than FanDuel’s.

About FanDuel and Betfair Interactive US LLC, Flutter Entertainment plc

Fanduel is owned and operated by Betfair Interactive LLC, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment LLC, an Irish-based company. Flutter is one of the world’s largest multinational sports betting and gambling companies. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange as FLUT and FLTR, respectively. Other popular brands Flutter owns include Betfair, Paddy Power, Sky Betting and Gaming, PokerStars, and Sportsbet.

The sheer scale of Flutter Entertainment is an indication of FanDuel’s financial reliability. In 2024, Flutter reported more than $14.05 billion in total revenue, with $5.8 billion coming from its US division, driven primarily by FanDuel. More recently, Q1 2025 saw a substantial net income of $335 million, alongside a 20% growth in Adjusted EBITDA to $616 million. The increase in earnings and profitability was primarily due to its US operations, mostly FanDuel, among other related businesses.

Besides financial success, Flutter Entertainment has shown its deep commitment to responsible business practices through its “Positive Impact Plan.” This ESG strategy focuses on four main areas: customers, colleagues, communities, and the environment. The “Play Well” supports customers with safe and positive experiences. Flutter invested $139 million in 2024 into responsible gambling tools and specialists. They aim for 75% of active online customers to utilize one or more of these tools by 2030, with usage already at 44.5% globally in 2024. The “Work Better” pillar focuses on colleagues. It fosters an inclusive and empowering environment. They actively build diverse teams, with women holding nearly 40% of leadership roles by the end of 2024, and provide well-being programs for mental and physical health.

The “Do More” pillar concentrates on communities and strives to improve 10 million lives by 2030. In 2024, Flutter donated $16.4 million to community partnerships and charities, contributing to 2.55 million lives improved since 2022. Lastly, “Go Zero” addresses the environment, targeting net-zero carbon emissions by 2035. Flutter reduced its GHG emissions by 5% year-on-year in 2024 and achieved 100% renewable energy coverage for Scope 2 emissions in 2023.

Where You Can Bet with FanDuel

Although FanDuel is one of the most recognized names in sports betting, its reach isn’t as wide as some might assume. While many bookmakers operate offshore, especially in countries with strict or unclear betting laws, FanDuel focuses mainly on regulated markets in North America and regions where it holds a local license.

United States

FanDuel holds local licenses in over 23 states. While you don’t have to be a resident, users must be physically located within licensed states to place bets. To enforce this, FanDuel mobile apps and websites have geolocation tools that verify if you are in a legal state when placing wagers. While some states allow residents to sign up online, others, like Illinois and Iowa, require in-person registration. Punters from licensed states have promotions tailored to their locality. This isn’t limited to standard offers like welcome bonuses but also the VIP program.

Canada

In Canada, FanDuel operates only in Ontario. The operator was launched there in April 2022 after receiving AGCO approval. The Ontario market requires users to be physically located in the province. FanDuel Canada ULC holds both sports betting and casino licenses and allows residents to access them via its website or mobile app. In alignment with provincial regulations, its bonuses are tailored to stipulated guidelines. Likewise, it also supports local payment options like Interac.

Regulatory Track Records

FanDuel has faced several fines from state regulators. In July 2022, Iowa fined FanDuel $75,000 for allowing credit card deposits, which are prohibited in the state. FanDuel attributed this to incorrect coding by a vendor and subsequently cut ties with that payment option in Iowa. In July 2024, New Jersey fined FanDuel $2,000 for accepting 34 bets on a mixed martial arts event that had concluded. It paid over $230,000 to settle these wagers and update internal controls. In Massachusetts, FanDuel was fined $10,000 in December 2024 for accepting prohibited wagers on Boston College, an in-state team not yet in a tournament. FanDuel self-reported this manual error, voided bets, and issued refunds.

In 2024, FanDuel and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) settled a lawsuit over the alleged improper use of player names, images, and likenesses in its marketing and promotions. The parties agreed to a voluntary dismissal with prejudice in November, meaning the suit cannot be refiled. The settlement, however, required FanDuel to change its practices to respect player rights.

In April 2025, FanDuel still had an ongoing lawsuit with the city of Baltimore. It alleges deceptive promotional practices and exploitation of vulnerable gamblers, claiming violations of the city’s Consumer Protection Ordinance. Although the operator has stated it is confident its operations comply with all laws, the lawsuit has been moved to federal court, where it is currently proceeding.

Media reports in 2024, including a Reuters investigation, criticized US sports betting safeguards as weaker than those in the UK. FanDuel and other operators were noted for aggressive marketing tactics, especially the VIP program, which would face stricter limits under the UKGC. FanDuel has stated it is committed to responsible gambling and operates in strict accordance with each jurisdiction’s rules.

Odds

FanDuel releases betting lines days ahead, depending on the match’s popularity. Its odds are also some of the highest, even among top operators, due to its low margin. Punters can switch between Decimal, American, and Fractional odds formats, although the option is only available when logged in. You will find over 30 odds markets per fixture, which is an ample betting opportunity for all punters.

Odds are updated instantly as the game progresses. Upward fluctuations are depicted by a green color and an upward arrow, indicating favorable changes. Downward fluctuations are shown with red and a downward arrow, alerting to less favorable changes.

Since punters are responsible for their own taxes, FanDuel doesn’t charge betting tax. This means all prices are clean and tax-free. You can track your betting activity under the “Activity Statement” tab. There are options to filter by date, wager type, product, result, and deposit. However, you cannot directly download the history.

Payment Options

FanDuel banking options include both classic and modern ones. It accepts credit and debit cards, including MasterCard and Visa. You can also deposit by wire transfer or with cash at a retail counter.

For users who prefer online banking, FanDuel supports Trustly. It’s linked to major banks like CIBC, HSBC, TD Bank, RBC Royal Bank, and Scotiabank, especially in the US. It also accepts PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo, PaySafeCard, FanDuel Prepaid Play+, and gift cards.

Depending on the chosen payment method, you can deposit between $5 – $10,000. However, some states impose deposit limits. For example, Massachusetts has a $1,000 limit, Tennessee $2,500, and Maryland $5,000.

You can request a payout of as low as $1 on most digital banking options, but you can also request withdrawals using the same deposit method you used. Although withdrawal isn’t as instant as deposit, most payments are processed within 24 hours, with the exception of checks, which can take up to 10 business days, and online banking, which may take up to 5 business days. Check withdrawals take the longest, at up to 14 business days. FanDuel doesn’t charge you on transactions – deposits and withdrawals – although your bank or payment option might.

While there are lots of choices when you want to fund or withdraw from your account, not all methods are available in every state. Credit card deposits are restricted in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Vermont. New York limits credit card deposits to $2,500 per year per card. Likewise, PayNearMe is not available in Ohio. PayPal and Venmo are banned in Connecticut and Tennessee. Play+ pre-paid cards are not allowed in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun Reservation, and Iowa.

All payment methods come with dedicated step-by-step tutorials, including screenshots and video guides. If these aren’t enough, you can also reach out to support via live chat or email.

Betting Variety

FanDuel offers bets on over 20 traditional sports. These include popular options like basketball, football, and boxing, as well as niche sports such as darts, rugby union, and volleyball.

However, its Esports section is limited. Only eBasketball and eSoccer are available. FanDuel does not cover major titles like League of Legends, CS: GO, Dota 2, or Valorant, which is a drawback for Esports fans.

For the sports it does offer, FanDuel provides depth. Each event typically has around 25 different betting options. This gives you the flexibility to bet on what you understand or have researched. Available markets include player props, team props, over/under totals, and special bets like extra time and first to score.

FanDuel also supports Same-Game Parlays. This feature lets you combine multiple bets from a single match, such as total goals, player stats, and winning margin, into one custom wager. You can tailor each leg of the parlay to fit your betting style.

In-Play Betting and Live Streaming

FanDuel’s in-play section covers more than just major leagues. You can bet live on specialty sports, Esports, and even college games.

The market variety includes spreads, totals, handicaps, and player props. You can stake on any part of a fixture, from the next goal to the final score. To aid in predictions, FanDuel provides real time statistics, such as shots, expected goals (xG), and possession.

Additionally, FanDuel offers free live streaming for many events. While streams are typically in HD, the resolution can automatically adjust based on your internet connection to ensure a lag-free viewing experience. Not all live events offer streaming on the site, but a game tracker is universally available. This tracker provides real time object movement match flow within the game. The game tracker is a great alternative when it comes to getting valuable insights, even without a live video feed. If you want to lock in profit to salvage your losses, FanDuel has full, partial, and auto cash out tools that allow you to settle a wager before the match ends.

Its search field helps you quickly find specific sports, teams, or events. Odds update in real time, and you don’t need to reload the page to see changes. Even on an unstable internet, the site remains responsive and loads quickly.

Although the website is user-friendly, it lacks personalization. There’s no option to mark teams or leagues as favorites. However, menus are well-organized and let you reach most leagues in three clicks or less. The bet slip and account menus are neatly tucked to the side and never block the main content. The site auto-adjusts to fit any screen size or resolution and works smoothly across all major browsers.

FanDuel prioritizes accessibility and adheres to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. It supports screen readers like VoiceOver, which verbalizes on-screen content for visually impaired users. Video content, including live streaming, includes captions, and the color contrast has been improved for better readability.

The platform supports push notifications for bet results and updates. You also get email alerts for every login to your account.

Mobile Betting

FanDuel has dedicated mobile apps for better accessibility and faster navigation. You can access everything on the desktop site, including live betting, streaming, and account tools.

The app offers extra security features such as two-factor authentication, Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint login. You also get live stats and match updates in real time, making it easy to track games and react quickly. If you are following a game or have an active wager, Fanuel can let you follow it on a locked screen. This is a great way to conserve your battery, although the feature is only available on NFL games and can only currently track one at a time.

Mobile Web App

The FanDuel mobile web app is available for all mobile devices. After logging into your account, you can get it by clicking “Add to Home Screen” on your device’s browser. This is convenient if you prefer not to download an extra app or manage updates. However, the mobile web app does not offer the same additional security features found in the native mobile apps.

iOS App

You can download the FanDuel iOS app from the App Store. It runs on iOS 15.0 and above. To make things easy, there are separate apps for sportsbooks and fantasy sports. The sportsbook app needs around 272 MB, while the fantasy app uses about 175 MB.

Android App

Similar to iOS, Android users have dedicated apps for both fantasy and sports betting. The app is lightweight and only takes up about 42 MB. The fantasy app requires around 49.5 MB. For the sportsbook app, Android OS 7.0 or higher is required. The fantasy app runs on Android OS 10 or higher. Unlike iOS, the Android app is lightweight and doesn’t require the latest gadget to run.

Security & Data Protection

FanDuel uses SSL encryption to protect all user data, login details, and payment gateway transactions. It also has 2FA, and in states like Michigan, it is mandated to provide the 6-digit code sent to you via SMS or authenticator app when signing in.

FanDuel works with HackerOne and runs a Vulnerability Disclosure Program, where ethical hackers can report bugs and receive payment. This identifies and fixes security flaws early. The company also complies with local privacy laws in each market it operates, including state-specific data protection regulations in the US.

Betting Tools & Features

Fanduel provides a number of tools that can improve your experience and increase your chances of winning. Below are some noteworthy features.

FanDuel-TV+

FanDuel-TV+ is a dedicated streaming channel that gives punters access to more live sports content. It includes original shows from FanDuel TV like *Up & Adams* and features interviews, expert analysis, and commentary from names like Michelle Beadle, Lou Williams, and Kay Adams. The channel improves the live betting experience with real time insights. FanDuel-TV+ is available on platforms like Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Xumo Play, and Plex.

Same Game Parlay (SGP) & SGP+

Same Game Parlay lets you combine multiple outcomes from one match into a single bet. With SGP+, you can link multiple same-game parlays from different events. The builder shows real time odds updates as you add picks. Both tools support a wide range of markets, especially for popular leagues. FanDuel also offers insurance and boosts on select parlay bets. Markets with this feature have the “SGP” icon on them.

FanDuel Parlay Hub

The Parlay Hub is a dedicated section that helps users build and manage parlay bets. It includes filters by sport, odds range, and bet type. You can also view trending parlay combinations backed by other users, as well as the number of punters staking on them.

Profit Boost Tokens

Profit Boosts let you increase your potential returns on selected bets. These tokens apply to specific events or general bet types like parlays. FanDuel regularly issues them through promotions or as part of ongoing offers. The boost is automatically applied during checkout when eligible. Winnings from boosted bets are paid in cash.

Early Cash Out

FanDuel’s Cash Out feature lets you settle bets before an event ends. It’s available on pre-game and live bets when odds are still active. The payout reflects real time conditions and reduces exposure to late outcomes. You can cash out full or partial amounts depending on the market.

Quick Bet

Quick Bet speeds up the betting process by placing a wager with one click. It skips the bet slip and immediately locks in the odds and stakes. This tool is ideal for in-play betting when speed matters most. You can set a default stake for faster use. The feature is optional and can be toggled on or off in your account settings or at the base of your betslip.

Responsible Gambling

FanDuel’s responsible gambling tools are detailed and provide more control over activity than most competitors.

You can set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits. To prevent increasing the limit or tuning off on the whim, daily limits have a 3-day waiting period, weekly limits take 7 days, and monthly limits take 31 days. In states like Massachusetts, Louisiana, and Indiana, the waiting time is 90 days. If you deposit over $2,500, you must read and confirm a Responsible Player Statement.

Additionally, the wager limit tool allows you to set a total bet amount; once this is hit, you cannot place bets until the time limit elapses. Even better, you can set a maximum bet size per slip and limit how many wagers you can place simultaneously.

Time-based controls are also available. You can set session time limits to manage how long you stay active on the platform. Loss limits let you cap the total amount you’re willing to lose over a specific period.

For users who need a short break, FanDuel offers a timeout feature that temporarily restricts account access. If you need a more extended break, the self-exclusion tool lets you lock your account indefinitely.

FanDuel also provides a “Player Activity Statement,” which includes a full record of your deposits, withdrawals, bet history, and outcomes. This helps you stay aware of your habits and make informed decisions.

To offer additional support, FanDuel partners with several responsible gambling organizations. Through Operation Hope, users gain access to financial education and support services. The platform also promotes Trusted Voice: Conversations about Betting, a project by Randy Livingston and Anita Smith that helps parents, coaches, and adults talk to young people about gambling risks, warning signs, and where to get help. Other partners include Kindbridge Counseling Services and Know Your Play, which provide users with professional tools and resources for safe gambling.

My Spend

My Spend was introduced in 2024 and is part of FanDuel’s ongoing effort to help users take greater control of their betting activity. It allows you to track your total deposits, withdrawals, and net spending across time. This feature makes it easier to spot trends and adjust your deposit limits based on your actual betting behavior.

Customer Support

FanDuel provides multiple support channels to assist users quickly and clearly.

It has a comprehensive FAQ section that covers everything from account setup to betting rules and payment methods. Answers are detailed and include screenshots and videos. The system also suggests similar questions and solutions to help you find what you need faster. Each product – sportsbook, casino, and DFS – has its dedicated help tab, so you don’t end up reading support content for the wrong product.

Alternatively, you can email the support team for human assistance. Responses typically arrive within 24-48 hours. Live chat is another option. While accessible without logging in, you need to provide your name, email, and subject to begin. You usually connect with an agent within two minutes, though a chatbot first offers related FAQ answers.

FanDuel also uses social media for support. You can reach the support team via their X (formerly Twitter) account or by sending a direct message to their Facebook page. Each support request is assigned a unique ticket ID, so it’s easy to track progress. For every interaction, you are asked for feedback; this way, they can further improve how they attend to users.

Betting Information Section

FanDuel does not have a dedicated blog or news section, which is a notable gap compared to most major sportsbooks. However, it offers a section called Sports Betting 101, designed to help users understand the basics of sports betting. The section is beginner-friendly and covers topics like how to read odds, types of bets, and the rules of specific sports and their betting markets.

The guides are clear and structured for easy learning with the addition of videos. The content is available on both desktop and mobile and is easy to access from the main menu.

Sponsorship

FanDuel has done a great deal of strategic partnering across major sports leagues and teams to increase its visibility and credibility, especially in the competitive US market.

It has a tri-exclusive official sports betting partner of the NFL, alongside DraftKings and Caesars. The deal includes rights to use league and team marks and access to Genius Sports’ BetVision streaming, which integrates live NFL games with betting markets.

In basketball, FanDuel is also an Official Sportsbook Partner and Official Daily Fantasy Partner of both the NBA and WNBA. These multi-year renewals allow FanDuel to use league marks, offer branding across digital, broadcast, and in-arena platforms, WNBA-themed free-to-play games, and integrate betting odds into apps and sites.

In addition to leagues, FanDuel has a naming rights agreement with Diamond Sports Group. This re-branded 16 Bally Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) to FanDuel Sports Network and has increased its media exposure while integrating betting content directly into live local sports broadcasts.

FanDuel not only sponsors major sports, but it also holds the status of Official Betting Operator with the PGA Tour. This includes digital and broadcast integrations. FanDuel is an Authorized Gaming Operator of NASCAR, and they collaborate to improve fans’ experience by providing better odds and live streaming options across all events, among other content. In combat sports, it is the Official US Sports Betting Partner of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). This allows FanDuel to provide official odds, which the PFL can integrate into its storytelling and fight presentations to boost betting engagement.

When it comes to team partnerships, the bookie has a number of them, such as the New York Yankees and the Carolina Panthers. The collaboration with the New York Yankees gives FanDuel branding rights at Yankee Stadium and permission to use official team marks in promotions. Its deal with the Carolina Panthers was signed before North Carolina’s mobile betting launch. It allows FanDuel to feature team logos and collaborate on digital content to strengthen its visibility and connection within the local market.

What Bettors Say About FanDuel

FanDuel holds a low 1.2 rating on Trustpilot, where most reviewers express disappointment. Common issues include frequent spam messages, poor customer service, and a glitchy app that disrupts the betting experience. On Reddit, users also complain that the app crashes during major live events and sometimes displays sloppy in-play data that lags behind the actual game. Other review platforms like Sitejabber feature numerous complaints about delayed payouts, sudden account bans, and restrictions imposed without clear explanation or reference to specific terms of service violations.

Poor reviews are actually common among major sportsbooks. BetMGM and DraftKings also hold 1.2 ratings on Trustpilot, with similar issues reported.

Despite these criticisms, FanDuel is one of the most widely used platforms in the US. Many users still value its impressive odds, clean interface, and broad market coverage, even as the quality of its service remains a sticking point for others.

Besides Betting

In addition to sports betting, FanDuel also covers other gambling options. It has separate tabs for casino, racing, and daily fantasy sports so users can focus on what they want without confusion.

The casino section features over 1,500 games, including online slots, table games, card games, and live casino titles. These are powered by reputable iGaming providers, so you can be assured of fair play. This section also includes fixed and progressive jackpot options. FanDuel Racing allows users to bet on horse racing events across the US with simple layouts and odds formats.

Daily Fantasy Sports is one of the most popular products from the operator. It’s a skill-based game where users draft virtual teams of real athletes and compete for cash prizes based on player performance in live games.

Bottom Line

FanDuel has earned its spot as one of the best operators in the US with its high odds and betting variety. It has a mobile app for on-the-go users, and the bonus terms are simple. Sadly, there is limited access to its VIP program, and it lacks transparency. Looking closely at the platform, features like Same Game Parlay, FanDuel TV+, and Profit Boosts all work together to improve user experience and engagement. These tools help keep bettors involved, especially during live events, but don’t always make up for the lack of deep customization. Compared to DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars, FanDuel feels more balanced but less rewarding in terms of long-term benefits. Other platforms offer better loyalty programs and more global market access. Despite this, FanDuel prioritizes a great user experience through accessibility and odds, which makes it an excellent option for beginner or intermediate punters.

  • Provides round-the-clock support via email, live chat, and social media pages
  • Has lots of banking options for US and Canadian users
  • There are frequent profit boosts on events
  • The Parlay Hub is one of the best tools for high-stakes punters
